Since it is a new year and we just entered 2022, I decided to write this blog. Being a university student, I struggled in making breakfast last year and was stuck on the cycle of making a similar and basic breakfast each day, such as Eggs, French Toast, Waffles, or Pancakes; which are typical to eat. However, there are many other creative breakfast ideas that are different to these basic ones.
In this blog, I will be sharing 3 different breakfast ideas that are completely different from each other. Today, the internet is loaded with too many recipes, some of which may be good and some which maybe not. However, having tried these recipes personally, I would recommend for anyone to give them a try.
1)French Toast with a twist
As much as the picture looks very time-consuming, this recipe is so easy to make and is a mixture of sweet and savoury foods. This breakfast recipe is for a day that you feel having a little bit of everything.
For this recipe, you need a circular/round plate to get started to make it more aesthetic.
Combine your regular French Toast, mixed fruits, halloumi cheese, mushroom, grilled cherry tomato, hash browns, and scrambled eggs all in your circular plate.
Once done, add a small dip bowl and place your beans inside and similarly add any 50ml honey jar inside the plate. Finally, add edible flowers of your choice to finish the recipe and make it more flattering. Some edible flowers include alliums and honeysuckle. However, the list of edible flowers is endless.
2) Not your typical boiled eggs
This recipe works for a large number of people.
If you love boiled eggs but want to switch things up for a bit, then I highly recommend this recipe.
For this recipe, you need to boil the eggs (6-10 eggs depending on your preference) as usual for about 10 minutes. Then in a circular pan add butter, fresh chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and your spices and leave it on low heat. Later, arrange the boiled eggs on top like a flower shape layered next to each other. Finally, finish the recipe with mozzarella and sprinkle it on top of the plate.
With any type of bread of your preference, enjoy eating this delicious yet simple recipe!
3) Honey Matcha Smoothie Bowl
This recipe is for all matcha lovers like me. Personally, I always drink Matcha, however, I really struggled to find the perfect Matcha recipe to eat. This Honey Matcha Smoothie is delicious and light at the same time.
One of my favourite combinations with Matcha is Honey, and this recipe contains both.
For this recipe you need:
-2 frozen bananas
-1 cup of Spinach
-2 teaspoons of your favourite Matcha Powder
-1/2 cup frozen mango
-1/4 cup Greek Yogurt (Plain)
-1-2 tablespoons of Honey
-1/2 cup Coconut Milk
As easy as it may sound, combine and blend all these ingredients together in a high-speed blender until you have a smooth and creamy texture. It should be of very thick consistency, but fully blended!
Finally top of this recipe with your favourite heart desires. However personally I love to use blueberries, sliced bananas, and pomegranate seeds for fresh fruit. Alongside some goji powder, chia seed, and unsweetened coconut.
